Applications are welcomed from Indian nationals coming from scheduled classifications (SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PwD (VH, OH, HH)) under special recruitment drive for the post of Assistant Professor in the Departments of Aerospace Engineering, Biological Sciences and Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Cognitive Science, Computer Technology and Engineering, Design, Earth Sciences, Economic Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, Management Sciences, Materials Science and Engineering, employment Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics and Statistics, Physics, Space, Planetary & & Engineering (SPASE), Sustainable Energy Engineering, and Kotak School of Sustainability.

Several Departments likewise take part in the teaching and research activities of interdisciplinary post-graduate programs in the institute in Photonics Science and Engineering and employment Materials Science Program. Minimum Qualification (Assistant Professor): Ph.D. with very first class or equivalent (in terms of grades, and so on) at the preceding degree in the proper branch, with an extremely excellent scholastic record in all preceding degrees. Other information:

1. The pay brings all other allowances as acceptable to a Central Civil servant stationed at Kanpur.

2. The advantages, such as LTC, medical re-imbursement, transportation allowance, kids education allowance, contribution towards New Pension System (NPS), employment re-imbursement of telephone bills, book grants, HRA (if real estate not supplied), research study initiation grant (as much as Rs 25 lakhs with the provision to get a supplemental grant) and financial backing towards nationwide and global conferences shall be allowed as per the Institute norms.

3. From its internal resources, the Institute supplies an extra top-up income of Rs 25,000/- each month for the very first three years of service to the freshly signed up with professor. After 3 years of service, the professor(s) are eligible for consideration for Young Faculty Fellowship (open for faculty of age upto 40 years) supplying a top-up income of Rs.15,000/- each month for three years, and/or Faculty Chair positions offering a top-up wage of Rs 25,000/- monthly for 3 years. Both the positions are used based upon performance.

4. Traveling allowance for joining: The Institute will compensate international travel expenditures for the newly joined professor and reliant relative to the optimum limit of Rs. 1,50,000. Domestic travel compensation will be according to government guidelines.

7. Applicants who do not satisfy the minimum experience requirements may be provided a visit on contract. The requirements of minimum credentials and/or experience may be unwinded when it comes to candidates with exceptional credentials.

8. The Institute follows the booking in direct recruitment based on the arrangements of the Central Educational Institutes (Reservation in Teachers’ Cadre) Act, 2019. The prospects are required to send the Caste/ Category/ Disabilities Certificate provided by the Competent Authority in the format prescribed by the Government of India for this purpose. 11. Applicants required and appearing in interview will be paid to and fro economy air fare/train fare by the shortest path (within India) and taxi fare from Lucknow airport to IITK and back. Please keep in mind that the quantity of fare will be remitted through electronic transfer by our Accounts Section after processing the claim. Local hospitality will be looked after by the Institute.

12. Applicants who are employed in Government or Semi-Government Organizations will be required to produce a “NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE” from their company at the time of the interview.
